So a while back, I did a blog for my mom about five people that my mom reminding me of. I don’t mean to copy a blog but this time around it is for my dad. Before I start I just want to say that this is not a copy but a blog that is one and only for my one and only dad. Daddy, this is for you, 5 people that are not your inspiration but were inspired by you. I love you so much and hope that you enjoy this blog. Daddy you rock no matter how much I make fun of you and you know I do.
For those of you that don’t know my dad is a die hard Hrithik Roshan fan. He makes sure that the whole family goes out and sees every single movie that he is in. My dad and I always have debates on “The Best Dancer in Bollywood: Varun or Hrithik?” Well I didn’t chose Hrithik for this blog because he is my dad’s idol but because of his muscle and charismatic attitude. Hrithik has this power with his mind and body. He is one of the strongest guys you would see anywhere and always has a smile on his face. He is able to charm anyone on screen or off. My dad is also able to do that to an extent you would never imagine. With his goofy grin and persuading words he can get you to do anything even if you don’t want to. He can get me to do anything and no it is not just because he is my dad. Although he can get almost everyone to do anything I do think the one person that he has butterfingers with is my mom and his wife. No matter what she will always be the boss applesauce.
Well I know that Ironman is a fictional superhero but to our family, he is as real as anyone living on this earth. Ironman is a lot more behind his suit. He is funny, a gentleman, and persistent all rolled up to one man in a superhero costume. The thing about Ironman as that he is man made of iron with a heart made of gold. That’s how I feel about my dad. He is my superhero. When I am with him all the worries of the world go away. Whether it’s something as small as a bee or as big as facing my worst fear my dad is always there to protect me and I know that will never change. With my dad right next to me I am never scared of anything. My dad is my real life superhero. Another fun fact, my dad and I have always been huge superhero fans ever since I was a little girl. I am still wondering if I got the whole superhero thing from my dad or my cousin Beneeta. My whole family Ahujas, Sethis and Aroras love superheros of all types. The fact that I do know is my dad is my favorite superhero in all the universe.
For anybody that knows my dad, you would know that my dad is always up for a joke and is always the one making jokes. You know how Jimmy Fallon does lip sync battles? That always reminds me when I got a video of my dad playing Just Dance on my wii when I did not think he was looking. This just shows his fun loving personality that does not let anything get in the way of expressing himself. Just like Jimmy Fallon my dad will do anything to get the people around him to smile. My dad is known throughout our community for doing jokes every Friday. He cares so much about other people’s happiness. When one of his jokes makes someone else happy that makes him even happier. I do make fun of my dad for making jokes that are way too cheesy but I am a cheesy person and I am always laughing on the inside no matter what I say otherwise. Daddy, you are my Jimmy Fallon and I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you are always there to make me feel better and always there to make me laugh my heart out.
Well Michael Jordan is another one of my dad’s idols. I cannot argue that he is my idol too. Many would argue that he is the greatest basketball player of all time. One connection to my dad is, that he is the best dad of all time. My dad and I have bonded so much this past year over basketball. In fact, as I am writing this blog my dad just texted me asking me if I wanted to go shoot some hoops outside. My dad is a great player, one of the best I know but that is not why I chose him to write about. Michael Jordan is always the person known for never giving up. No matter what obstacles were thrown at him he always got past it. That is where my dad comes in. He had a huge back surgery. It was hard enough to get through the surgery let alone the recovery. My dad came back from the surgery and did not give up on the chance to play or lose to me at basketball. Remember this dad: I will always beat you every time that we play!
My dad and I recently saw the movie Furious 7 and he became obsessed with all things Fast and Furious. He went and downloaded all the movies and watched them all repeatedly. He always asks me which character I think he would be. I always say Vin Diesel because I like making fun of him for his deep voice but in all honesty I have to go with Paul Walker. Paul Walker is the most handsome, resilient, people person in the movie. He is good at his job and good with all the people around him. Just like my dad he is dedicated to his work. I do think my dad would be Paul Walker but he does still have a very deep voice so I would say that he would also be Vin Diesel if I could pick to characters. Paul Walker is my favorite actor in the movie, and daddy you are my favortie character in my life. I love you to the moon and back but I want you to remember this:
“You don’t know me yet but you are about to” – My Dad’s favorite quote from Fast and Furious
Daddy, thank you for being so amazing and always being there for me no matter what. I love you so much that words cannot even describe it
